SIAMS Inspection Report

Dear Parents and Carers

An Outstanding Church School SIAMS, November 2017

I am delighted to inform you that we were judged to be Outstanding in our Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS) inspection on Thursday 9 November 2017. Please click on the link below to view the inspection report.

The inspector interviewed pupils, parents, staff and governors; observed lessons; shared in an act of worship and examined our evidence.

In all four areas, we were judged to be Outstanding. The inspector particularly praised: the emphasis we place on our Christian values and the significant impact they have on the success of our happy and caring school; the quality of religious education which had significantly improved since the last inspection; the powerful and passionate Christian vision displayed by the leadership and management and the deep and sustained impact Collective Worship has on the life of the school.

We had already identified in our self-evaluation the need to focus on developing pupils’ leadership of Collective Worship. Our inspector agreed we should give pupils more responsibility for leading worship.

I encourage you to take time to read the report. It confirms and celebrates the fabulous work and the family ethos at St Luke’s Church of England Primary School. Thank you all – staff, governors, parents, grand parents, Church community and our amazing pupils – for your on-going hard work and support. You all contribute to making St Luke’s the unique and special place it undoubtedly is.

Yours sincerely,

Mr S Hardaker
